First stop: Castiglione d’Orcia
The first stop of our tour took Enrica Mannari, her van, and four of her closest friends to the beautiful setting of Castiglione d’Orcia, in the province of Siena. Between a glass of La Pettegola and the sound of cicadas singing as the soundtrack, they discussed a rather complex and multifaceted topic: the relationship with others.
Where does this innate and deep need to be with others come from? This question marks the beginning of the first stop of the Live, Love, La Pettegola tour with Enrica Mannari, accompanied by our Vermentino and some very special guests.
We are in the wonderful setting of Castiglione d’Orcia, a place that invites openness, frankness, and spontaneity. And when La Pettegola is there to warm hearts, the conversations spark and grow as fiery as the hot July sun.
“Getting to know them, knowing who they are, what others think. Drawing from their lives to find perfect insights and experiences for my own.”
During this first stop of the tour, Enrica Mannari revealed what others mean to her: amplifiers of experiences and consciousness, mirrors that reflect our innermost emotions and are capable of revealing so much about ourselves.
Five friends, soft cushions on the grass, a bottle of La Pettegola, and an important topic.
Talking about others, could we not talk about love as well? When we think of love, we always think of our other half, Enrica tells us, but she doesn’t believe in this kind of narrative. The other, in this sense, is a whole and complete entity, in the wonderful awareness of never being one.
“Exploratory lenses. Prism mirrors.
Consciousness accelerators. Experience amplifiers. That’s what others are.”
