Enrica Mannari and the others

First stage: Castiglione d’Orcia

The first stage of our tour led Enrica Mannari, her van and four of her closest friends to the beautiful setting of Castiglione d’Orcia, in the province of Siena. Accompanied by a glass of La Pettegola and the song of the cicadas, the conversation focused on a complex and multifaceted subject; relationships.

What is the origin of this innate and deep-set desire to spend time with other people? This question is the starting point for the first stage of the Live, Love, La Pettegola tour with Enrica Mannari, accompanied by our Vermentino and a number of very special guests.

We are in the wonderful setting of Castiglione d’Orcia, a place that encourages openness, honesty and spontaneity. And with La Pettegola to ignite passions, the conversation really gets going, as heated as the hot July sun.

“Understand them, learn who they are, what they think. Draw on their lives to find the perfect cues and experiences for mine”

During this first stage of the tour, Enrica Mannari told us what other people mean to her; sounding boards for experience and knowledge, mirrors that reflect our most intimate emotions and reveal so much of ourselves.

Five friends, soft cushions on the grass, a bottle of La Pettegola and an important subject.

How can we not talk about love when talking about others? When we think about love, we always think of our other half, says Enrica, but she doesn’t agree with this ideal. The other person, in this context, is an entity that is whole and complete, wonderfully aware of never actually being so.
